Sutton recalls first being employed by The Museum of Modern Art in 1932 as assistant to Alan R. Blackburn, Jr., Executive Secretary and Assistant Treasurer. She recalls her associations within the Museum's administrative structure as Assistant Treasurer and Comptroller. Sutton shares impressions of Alfred H. Barr, Jr., Elodie Courter, Alan R. Blackburn, Jr., William S. Lieberman, Abby Aldrich Rockefeller and Nelson A. Rockefeller, among others. Sutton describes relationships among Museum staff and the many changes during the twenty years of her tenure.
